“I was fast approaching 50 years old when I started attending classes at Wards in 2019. I work long hours and have always enjoyed team sports (Rugby, Footy). As I got older and the family and work demands increased I had to look for alternative ways to enjoy fitness. I tried the gym, swimming and running but it was not until I took up classes at Wards that I found out I could stay really fit and still have the team sport enjoyment.

Wards provided more variety in the training than I could have possibly imagined. The depth in their programming not only met my needs as a 50 year old, but I also suffer from arthritis and they took care to work around my restrictions. I currently attend 3-5 times per week and have recently lost 8KGs in one of their fitness and health challenges.

I have met some great people at Wards and if you’re having one of those days when you feel a bit low on energy, well its ok to come in and travel at your own pace and enjoy the group of people around you. There is no pressure to lift too heavy or push to hard but if you want to set some goals this team will help you achieve them. I love it.”




Wards Gym is a family run business. We have kids, siblings, parents, cousins, aunties, uncles, nephews and nieces. We understand that one size does not fit all. We have identified through speaking to family and friends the real need for a program that tailors to the 50+ crowd. You don’t need to be trying to keep up with 20 year olds doing High Intensity Training and you’re probably a little lost in a globo gym with all the equipment and what to actually do with it. We’ve taken the guess work out of it and created a program that is exactly what you need for the life stage that you’re currently at.
